About Me

I am a writer, author, lecturer, and researcher specializing in a broad base of fields. In April 2010, I began my own consultancy, Quillin Consulting, LLC, to focus on providing expert, research-driven knowledge products for the public and private sectors.

From 2006 to 2010, I worked as a Sr. Education Research Specialist for American Institutes for Research in Washington, DC. From 2003 to 2006, I was the Communications Manager for Washington National Opera. At the Opera, I served as managing editor and in-house writer for all major publications, including the bi-annual magazine, website, three e-newsletters, the company's commemorative 50th anniversary book, marketing collateral, and other miscellaneous publications.

I received my PhD in English Literature from the University of Cambridge in December 2005, a MA in English from McGill University, and a BA in English and French from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.

In addition to running Quillin Consulting, I am currently finalizing a book entitled Shelley and the Musico-Poetics of Romanticism for Ashgate Publishing. See "Publications" to read more about this and my other academic publications.

I also am an active member of The Junior League of Washington and a Board member of the University of Cambridge DC Alumni Association. In whatever spare time I have, you will find me roaming the Old Town Boutique District or running by the Potomac in Alexandria, VA with my husband.
